Mary Melancon PHOTOGRAPHY

Hello! I am Mary Melancon, a portrait/wedding -photographer based in Minneapolis, MN. I grew up in Minnesota and absolutely love everything it has to offer... yes even the bitter cold winters. However, I should mention that I am a Denver Bronco fan, but other than that I'm all Minny. I found a love for photography when I was in high school and have continued to enjoy it ever since.

My approach to photography is more documentary style than anything. I want to capture the good bad and the ugly. Because to me, it's all true art and all beautiful. Capturing the real emotions and expressions of life is what helps us remember it. I enjoy photographing people the most. People never fail to amaze me. Everyone's individual beauty and grace gets me every time, whether it's a couple in love or a 3 year old screaming.

When not photographing, chances are I am traveling with my husband Jay. He travels for work a lot and I am usually lucky enough to go with and make a trip out of it. Some of my favorite things are, coffee, pizza and a homemade chocolate chip cookie. I love cooking, decorating my house for every holiday and planning trips to Europe. I love taking photos and hope to keep doing it for a long time.
